(blog submission by Austin Z.) Yesterday was our first day of winterim. We spent the day learning about artists Georgia O'Keeffe and Frederic Church and talked about Expressionism. We also went out to lunch at Hidden Valley. When then got back and started practicing with pencils and watercolors, which are some of the main art supplies we will be using in New Mexico. We focused on color, using tints and secondary and tertiary colors. (blog submission by Henry L.) Our base will be Ghost Ranch, located in Abiquiu, NM. For more information about Ghost Ranch, see: https://www.ghostranch.org
